Alagappa University, situated in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, is conveniently accessible from Madurai and Tiruchirappalli airports, both within a two-hour drive. Established through a Special Act of the Government of Tamil Nadu in May 1985, Alagappa University’s primary objective is to promote research, development, and the dissemination of knowledge across various fields of learning. It proudly holds recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. The university is home to 44 departments, 9 centers, and 2 constituent colleges on its campus. Additionally, it oversees 46 affiliated colleges located in the districts of Sivaganga and Ramanathapuram.
